The BONE SETTERS from AndraPradesh

My mother used to have severe neck pain for quite some time. It was diagnosed to be cervical spondylosis. She tried various streams of medicines like the allopathi, homeopathy and ayurveda without much relief. It was then that we came to know about a group of people from Andra Pradesh visiting a private hospital near Guruvayoor once in every month, who were well known for curing spondylosis and similar bone related issues. These people were called bone setters.

You have to get an appointment to meet them . You will also have to take along a dhothi/mundu and with 8 eggs.

Once you reach there they inspect you and let you know two things

1) Is the problem curable?
2) If curable how many time you may have to visit them?

If they say that its curable , they mix a proprietary medicine in the egg white and rub it over the infected area. Later they cover/bandage the entire area using the "dothi/mundu" that you took along. They tie is so hard that you will not able to loosen it easily. Once they tie this up you can go home. You should not wet the affected area. If they had promised to cure it completely in three sittings, you will have to visit them consecutively 3 time and get the tying done.

We saw many people brought in stretchers and vehicles. Most of them were able to come back to normal life within a few sittings. It requires you to get early appointments to meet them as there are hundreds of people waiting to meet these bone setters. Their exact location is Rajas Hospital, Chavakkadu ,Trichur District, Kerala State, India
